Sharing Troop Pictures

By Chip Freund, Assistant Scoutmaster & Webmaster

Several folks have asked me about posting pictures to the troop web site (http://www.troop210.com).  I set up a scrapbook back in 2008 that is password protected.  To access it, simply click on the Scrapbook menu item and the site will present you with an authentication box.

Enter the username ******* and the password ******* and click OK.

You will then see the Scrapbook appear in the lower frame and you may select the album you wish to view.

I do not yet have a means for folks to upload their photos directly to the scrapbook.  If you have photos to share, please put them on a USB drive, CD, or DVD and bring them to the meeting (please email me BEFORE the meeting so I know to bring my laptop).  Alternatively, you can email them to me (chip-freund@nc.rr.com), but that can get to a large email, depending on the size and quantity of pictures.  Please end the pictures down to around a dozen for any given event and make sure that I know the date and location of the photos.  I’m going to try to create an upload function on the website this winter to make this process easier.  I’ll keep you posted.

Senior Patrol Leaders minute

Patrol Leaders, make sure you make your calls every weekend to tell your patrol if there is a meeting or not! The phone tree should be established just in case there ever was an emergency. After all, you never know when disaster may strike!

thanks

Order of the Arrow Conclave

Brothers,

This year’s Conclave theme is BBQ. For those who don't know what Conclave is: The MOST FUN and the BEST TIME you will ever have! At Conclave, all of the lodges from SR-7B get together and have an awesome time. There is the Order of the Arrow Experience (OAX), quest for the golden arrow and much much more. This year Conclave will be held at Camp Boddie. So bring your fellow arrow men and register now! Attached are both forms needed to register. The cost is $35. Both forms and the money should be mailed to:

Keith Biegert

102 Bristol Hill Ct.

Cary, NC 27513

Make checks payable to Lodge 104.

Hope to see you there,

Jack Koch

Scouting for Food.

Mark your calendars for Saturday, Feb. 13, and Saturday, Feb. 20 Troop 210 will once again be participating in Scouting for Food. All food collected will supply the White Plains Food Pantry. Should the scouts collect more than WPFP can store, the remaining food will be shared with With Love from Jesus.

On February 13, immediately following the UMM Breakfast, the scouts will head out to their routes to distribute bags to residents who live in the neighborhood off of Walnut Street just south of Cary Towne Center.

On February 20, we will meet in the church parking lot at 9:00 am to head back out to the routes to pick up bags of food and return to the church for sorting, and distribution.

All scouts and their parents are encouraged to participate. Please RSVP to Pam Willard (bpjwill@aol.com), if you are able to participate.
