7:00 am - Meet at White Plains UMC
7:30 am – Depart White Plains
Stop at BoJangles for breakfast on the way
10:30 am – Arrive at Neuseway Nature Park, Campground. Set up and box lunch.
12:00pm – 3:30pm Visit historic site
3:30 pm – 6:00 pm Dinner and clean up.
6:15pm – 7:15pm Nightime firing of cannons

Civil War Navy Living History Program. Cannons will Members of several North Carolina and Virginia reenactment/living history organizations will be demonstrating all aspects of naval life including navigational techniques, daily shipboard living, and other nautical skills. This year’s program will feature Civil War Navy and Marines, as well as the addition to civilian interpretations. There will be other sutlers/craftsmen at the program with items for sale to the general public and tours of the ship.

This year’s program will once more offer visitors a RARE OPPORTUNITY - a special artillery firing after dark Saturday.

Sunday, November 16

(cold breakfast)
8:00 1 hr community service (police and clean up area)
9:30 am depart for WPUMC
11:30 am - Arrive back in Cary at White Plains UMC.

Notes:

Class A uniform is required while traveling to and from campout and for historic site Tour
Scouts and Scouters need to bring your own cup, bowl and utensils --- think green!
Scouts are not allowed cell phones.
Medication must be given to adults prior to departure.

Plan on Cold weather dress- hat and gloves, warm socks, extra boots/socks ETC.

NOTE: Your Sleeping bag can be made 5 Degrees warmer than rating with a pad underneath and another 5 degrees warmer with a fleece bag liner available inexpensively at Wal-Mart.

This is the highest honor bestowed by BSA at the district level. Only 3 people are recognized each year. For over 10 years, Mike's leadership with Troop 210, Crew 210 and the District Order of the Arrow chapter has helped shape the lives of 100's of young men in the Cary area.
