Guest speakers

We are pleased to announce Brian Burnette. He will be presenting on “How to pick out the right boots and pack”. Brian is a Troop 210 Alumni. He has hiked hundreds of miles with the troop. His expertise will be greatly appreciated. Please remember to bring any questions.

This month’s guests will be talent from Comedy Improv Comedy Works in Raleigh. Comedy Works is a family friendly improv club that has shows every Friday and Saturday night. Bring the whole family for a free show and learn about a creative hobby that is fun to watch and participate in.

Last month, our guest speaker was Raleigh Police officer Vince Doxbeck. Officer Doxbeck held a presentation about the dangers of drugs. He also brought along two cadets from the Raleigh Police Explorers Post program. The Explorer Post is a volunteer program that is designed to help youth ages 14 through 21 to gain insight into the field of law enforcement. November Campout

This month’s campout will be at the Chestnut Ridge camp and retreat center 40 minutes away in Efland NC. The campout will be focused on the horsemanship merit badge. More details will be announced during the next few meetings so stay tuned.

We are in need of an adult Campmaster for this event

We have a growing collection of lost and found clothes, chairs, coats, rain gear, shoes, water bottles, etc.

If you are missing something, please check out what has been "found" in the next two meetings.

Things not picked up by November 9th, will be given away.

Year end donations.......

Did you know that many corporations have "matching" donation programs???

Did you know that you can make a donation directly to the Occoneechee Council and specify the donation go to Troop 210?

Did you know that you can make an anonymous donation and specify the use of the funds?

If you would like to make a donation to Troop 210 and don't know how such programs work, please see Mrs. Burgess or Mr. Freeman.

Christmas tree unloading

Christmas tree unloading is fast approaching!

Please mark your calendar (in pencil for now).

The tentative date for unloading Christmas Trees at the church is about 2pm on Saturday, November 28th.

That is subject to change. I pointed out that the State - UNC and the Duke - Wake football games are that day.
