High Adventure
Troop 210 has a long history of offering High Adventure programs to its scouts. The troop has sent backpacking treks to Philmont Scout Ranch in Cimarron, NM many times and aims to do so every two to three years to assure all scouts have at least one opportunity during their scout career.

High Adventure Requirements:
To participate in high adventure programs scouts much 14 years of age OR completed 8th Grade and be at least 13 years of age prior to participation, achieved First Class rank, earned First Aid merit badge, and received scoutmaster permission. Each program may have additional requirements for participation. Most high adventure programs require special skills and an above average level of physical fitness. Scouts participating in a high adventure program will typically meet regularly (in addition to normal troop activities) to plan and train for their adventure as much as a year in advance.
